EVERY STEP COUNTS:
We would like to thank all participants, club members and members of the wider community, for helping the club to finish in 11th place, with in excess of 25,000 kilometres making the “Every Step Counts” challenge a huge success for everyone involved. This has proven to be a fantastic achievement, as we remained in Level 5 lockdown throughout, and it makes it all the more impressive in this regard. We look forward to undertaking other enjoyable health and well-being initiatives/challenges throughout the year ahead. In the meantime stay safe and keep well. We are all looking forward to better days ahead, particularly with the rollout of the vaccine for everyone.

UNDERAGE:
Despite the lockdown there is lots of great work going on. Well done to our u17/u15/u13/u11 and u9s who are all training online and making great progress. The numbers are also very encouraging. Remember to keep up the practice and complete the skills challenges. Last week saw the launch of our online newsletter which has over 1500 views. We hope you enjoyed it. If there is anything you would like to see in the March newsletter please let us know. Thanks to all who participated in the coaching and player development workshop on Saturday morning. It was a very enjoyable and educating experience and great to see such a broad range of club members so deeply involved. The most recent underage club committee meeting took place on Monday 1st March. Once again there was a fantastic turnout and it was interesting for all to get an overview of all the activity in the underage section. Finally, could all coaches try to sell and return Croke Park tickets as soon as possible.

SYMPATHY:
The club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of the following who died recently, Dan Galligan, Limerick, father of Cathal Galligan, Ardskeamore; Mary O’Farrell, Salthill, sister of Peggy Holian, Ballybanagher; James Nolan, Cloondahamper, Lavally, brother of Martin Nolan, Corofin. May they rest in peace.
