Both goals from Rachel Burke.
On Saturday evening the third team were away to Tuam-Cortoon for Round 4 of Division 8. It was always going to be a tough game for our third team but they gave battled very well against a strong Tuam-Cortoon side. On Sunday afternoon, the first team hosted Naomh Mhuire at Corofin pitch for Round 4 of Division 1. Playing without our county stars & a few injuries, a youthful side got stuck in from the start.
Well worked goals, finished by Abbie Daly, Laura McTigue and Roisin Delaney in the 1st half and a cracker from Emily O'Connor in the 2nd half, saw the girls over the line. But it was the defence who stood out all through the match! Final scoreline Corofin 4-06 Naomh Mhuire 2-09.
The girls U-15 Feile took place over the weekend. Our girls travelled to Ballinasloe Saturday morning for their Division 2 group games against Claregalway, Loughrea and Ballinasloe. Throughout all three games, the girls played some brilliant football and represented the Club with distinction, well done girls.
