The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 28 September

MENS NOTES:

Well done to our seniors who defeated Cortoon Shamrocks in the County semi-final on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-7. Both Corofin goals were scored by Gary Sice – one in each half. Mountbellew-Moylough defeated Salthill-Knocknacarra in the second semi-final.
The county final is fixed for Tuam Stadium on Sunday 11 October with throw in at 4.00 pm.

Our intermediates drew with Glenamaddy in the league on a scoreline of 1-7 each. We currently lie second in the league – one point behind Williamstown.

Our minors were defeated by Mountbellew-Moylough in the Minor A North Board Championship by 3-13 to 0-8.

The numbers drawn for this week's jackpot of €5,150 were 1, 22, 28, 31. There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and no match 3. The seller's prize went to Patricia Langan. Next week's jackpot is €5,300 and the draw is in Canavans.

Club Notes 21 September

MENS NOTES:

Thanks to our panel members who participated in Kilmacud Crokes FBD 7s at the weekend. The tournament was won by the host club.

We play Cortoon Shamrocks in the County semi-final at 2.30 pm in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. Best of luck to the team and all involved. All support is welcome.
The game is followed at 4.15 by the second semi-final in which Mountbellew-Moylough take on Salthill-Knocknacarra.

Our minors defeated Dunmore MacHales in the Minor A North Board Championship last week by 2-12 to 1-4.

The underage fundraising quiz scheduled for last Friday night in Rafterys' was postponed.

The lotto numbers drawn on 14 September were 10, 17, 22, 30. We had no winner of the jackpot and one match 3 - Alan Furey. The seller's prize went to John Raftery.

The numbers drawn for this week's jackpot of €5,000 were 15, 16, 19, 32. We had no winner of the jackpot and no match 3. The seller's prize went to John Coen. Next week's jackpot is €5,150 and draw is in the Club Office.

Club Notes 14 September
MENS NOTES:

The intermediates lost out in the county semi-final on Saturday on a score line of Moycullen 2-15 to Corofin 0-8. Hard luck lads and thanks to all who were involved with the team all year.

In the replay of the senior quarter-final Corofin defeated Tuam Stars by 2-09 to 0-11 with the goals coming in the first half thanks to Micheál Lundy and Martin Farragher. Well done to all involved. We now play Cortoon Shamrocks in the County semi-final, which is scheduled for Sunday 27 September.

We played Dunmore MacHales in the Minor A North Board Championship on Tuesday evening in Tuam Stadium.

The under 15 team commence their league campaign with a match against Tuam Stars this evening (Wednesday) in Corofin at 6.30pm.

The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Under 15 and Under 16 player, Ciaran Melia who suffered a shoulder injury last week.

Please support our underage fundraising quiz on this Friday night in Rafterys' at 9.30 pm. The cost is €40 per team of four. Please come along, as all support is appreciate.

Hard luck to Corofin ladies who were defeated by Kilkerrin-Clonberne on a score line of 1-13 to 2-08 in the Senior ladies Championship semi final on Saturday.

Club Notes 7 September

MENS NOTES:

The senior team remains unbeaten in the league following their 2-15 to 1-8 win over St. James’ on Friday evening.

The intermediate team is in second place in their league despite a 1-11 to 2-10 loss to St. Brendan’s, Ballygar on Saturday.

The junior team lost out to Dunmore MacHales in the North Board C Football Championship on Friday evening on a scoreline of 1-8 to 4-7.

Despite loosing the hurling final on Sunday, Daithí Burke has the consolation of being selected on the RTE Sunday Game team of the year for 2015. Congrats Daithí. The minors had better luck when defeating Tipperary in the final. Congrats to Jack Fitzpatrick and the minor hurlers.

We play Dunmore MacHales in the Minor A North Board Championship on Thursday evening at 6.45 pm in Tuam Stadium.

The intermediates contest the county semi-final in Pearse Stadium against Moycullen on Saturday at 4.14 pm.

The replay of the senior quarter-final takes place in Tuam Stadium against Tuam Stars on Sunday at 2.00 pm. The winner will face Cortoon Shamrocks in the County semi-final, which is scheduled for Sunday 27 September.

Well done to our under 13s who played in the Colm Cooper Blitz in Killarney on Saturday. Thanks to all who accompanied the team on the day. Bishopstown, Cork were the winners of the tournament.

Our under 12s had a big win over Dunmore MacHales in division 1A of the league on Sunday. The team’s next game is next Sunday morning at 11.00 am against Annaghdown in Corofin.
