The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

CLUB NOTES:

FINALS:
The Senior Championship County Final, played in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, ended in a draw with Micheál Lundy fisting the levelling point deep into injury time. The final score was Corofin 0-7 to Mountbellew-Moylough 0-7. This game also doubled as a division 1 league fixture. Corofin top the league with 14 points from their 8 games played.
The Senior County Final replay will take place on Sunday in Pearse Stadium at 1:45 pm. ‬

Our Junior team drew with An Fhairche – Clonbur in the County final, played in Tuam Stadium on Saturday. The final score was Corofin 2-8 to An Fhairche – Clonbur 3-5.
The ‪Junior County Final replay will take place on Saturday in Tuam Stadium at 2.00 pm.‬‬

Our Junior C team were defeated by Annaghdown in the North Board Final played in Tuam Stadium on Monday afternoon. The final score was Corofin 1-7 to Annaghdown 0-14. The goal was scored by Daragh Fahy in the first half. Well done to this panel of players for their hard work, commitment and displays all year.

UNDERAGE:
We defeated Caherlistrane by 4-8 to 2-7 in under 16 division 1, played in Corofin on Wednesday last. The team lost out to Annaghdown on Monday morning on a scoreline of Corofin 2-9 to Annaghdown 6-6. This game was played in Cregg.

CLUB SOCIAL:
Saturday 29th December 2018, has been confirmed as the date for our Club ‘Social’. The event will take place in the Clayton Hotel, Galway. The exact details, in terms of the format, ticket costs, band/music, guest of honour, MC and so on, will be confirmed as soon as possible. So in the meantime, please circulate the date so players and supporters can put the date in their diaries.

LOTTO:
No winner of lotto and no match 3. Numbers drawn 2, 8, 18, 29. Seller’s prize Patricia Langan. Next week's jackpot is €8,750 and draw in Canavan’s, Belclare.

CLUB NOTES:

COUNTY FINAL:
We defeated Annaghdown in the senior championship semi-final by 0-12 to 0-8 played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. We will play Mountbellew-Moylough in the County final in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, with throw in at 3.00.
Sincere thanks for the tremendous support given to the team in Tuam and hopefully we can win again with you support next Sunday. Good luck to the players and all involved.

WEEKEND FIXTURES:
We play An Fhairche – Clonbur in the Junior Football Championship Final at 3.00 pm in Tuam Stadium on Saturday.

We play Mountbellew-Moylough in the County Senior Final at 3.00 pm in Pearse Stadium on Sunday.

We play Annaghdown in the Junior C Football Championship at 2.00 pm in Tuam Stadium on Monday.

UNDERAGE:
We play Caherlistrane in under 16 division 1 at 7.00 pm Wednesday. This is a home game for Corofin.

UNDERDOGS:
The TG4 Underdogs played Dublin in a challenge game under the lights in Parnell Park last Friday. Although well beaten on the night, the team should be proud of their achievement in participating in this novel event. Well done to Enda Fleming who came on as a sub in the second half. Well done also to Ray Silke for his involvement.

CLUB NOTES:

COUNTY SEMI FINAL:
We play Annaghdown in the senior championship semi-final in Tuam Stadium at 3.15 pm on Sunday. Once again we ask that you support our players in their effort to progress to the County final.
The other semi-final will be contested by Mountbellew-Moylough and Salthill-Knocknacarra with throw in at 1.30 pm.

JUNIORS WIN:
Congratulations to our Junior team who defeated Mountbellew / Moylough by 0-14 to 1-9 in the North Board Junior Football Championship final played in Tuam Stadium, on Saturday. ‬ We will play An Fhairche – Clonbur, in the County final. Details have yet to be confirmed.

Well done also to our Junior C team who defeated Glenamaddy by 3-10 to 0-6 on Sunday. Details of their next game are not confirmed at this stage.

UNDERDOGS:
The TG4 Underdogs will take on Dublin in a challenge game under the lights in Parnell Park on Friday, October 19. The game will be broadcast live on GAA Beo on TG4 with the ball being thrown in at 7.45. Enda Fleming has made it to the final panel of 29 players following a lengthy training programme and selection process under managers Ray Silke, former Cork Ladies Footballer, Valerie Mulcahy and former Kerry footballer Paul Galvin. The Club sends best wishes to Enda in the game.

LOTTO:
Lotto numbers drawn were 5, 16, 17, 18. Jackpot not won and one match 3, Mary Hynes. Seller’s prize Gerry Collins. Next week's jackpot is €8, 450 and draw is in the Club Office.

Club Notes 8 October

CLUB NOTES:

SENIOR FOOTBALL:
We defeated Caherlistrane by 2-10 to 1-6 in the quarter-final of the senior football championship played in Tuam Stadium on Sunday. The teams went in level at half time 1-3 each. However, Corofin took advantage of the strong wind in the second half to win convincingly. The Corofin goals were scored by Gary Sice, one in each half. Well done to the team and all involved on reaching another County semi-final. We play Annaghdown in that game while the other semi-final will be contested by Mountbellew-Moylough and the winners of Milltown and Salthill-Knocknacarra.
These fixtures have yet to be confirmed.

UNDER AGE:
Our under 16 team were defeated by Claregalway in division 1 on Saturday on a score line of 1-7 to 3-5.

BEREAVEMENTS:
The death occurred last week of Paddy Roche, Cloonmore, Tuam. Paddy was the last surviving member of the Corofin Senior team that captured the Club’s second County title in 1946. Corofin defeated St Grellan's, Ballinasloe in the final with the then 19-year-old Paddy scoring the team’s only goal. We sympathise with his brother Austin, relatives, neighbours and friends.
The death also occurred last week of Paddy Reilly, Sylane. Paddy won North Board and County Junior titles with Corofin in 1959 and 1963. He also played hurling with Seán Higgins’ (a team with players from Sylane and Tuam areas) in the 1950s and 60s. We sympathise with his family, neighbours and friends.
May they rest in peace.

LADIES FOOTBALL:
The Corofin ladies were defeated in the Senior Championship Final on a final score of Kilkerrin-Clonberne 7-16 to Corofin 3-6. Hard luck ladies. ‬

LOTTO:
The lotto numbers drawn were 3, 5, 9, 17. There was no Jackpot winner and two match 3s Gillian Lundy and John Nolan. Seller’s prize Gerry Collins. Next week's jackpot is €8,300 and draw is in Club Office.

SENIOR FOOTBALL:
We play Caherlistrane in the quarter-final of the senior football championship in Tuam Stadium at 3.45 pm on Sunday afternoon. We sent best wishes to the team and ask that you show your support once again at this game.

MINOR AWARDS:
Well done to the 3 Galway Minor Footballers, who received their awards at the 2018 Electric Ireland Minor All-Star Awards, Matthew Cooley (Corofin), Conor Raftery (Glenamaddy), and Tony Gill (Corofin).

UNDERAGE:
We were defeated by Ballinasloe in an under 14 division 1 game on a scoreline of Corofin 2-9 to Ballinasloe 5-7, played at home on Sunday.

SYMPATHY:
The Club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Séan Dooley, Peterswell, Gort, father of Nora Costello, Cloonaghmore. May he rest in peace.

LADIES FOOTBALL:
Well done to the Corofin Ladies senior team who were winners of the Championship semi-final. They defeated Moycullen after extra time by 1-23 to 2-19. Congratulations on this hard fought win and good luck in the County final against Kilkerrin-Clonberne. This game is fixed for Saturday at 3.00 pm in Moycullen.

LOTTO:
There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and no match 3. Numbers drawn were 3, 5, 6, 32. The seller’s prize went to Gerry Collins. Next week's jackpot is €8,150 and the draw is in the Club Office.
