The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 24 November

MEN'S NOTES:

Congratulations to our senior team who captured the club’s sixth Connacht title at the weekend with a well merited and spirited win over Ballintubber (Mayo) on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-7. Well done to manager, Stephen Rochford, selectors Trevor Burke, Ger Keane and Kevin O’Brien, PJ Reilly on logistics and all the club officers and members who helped in so many ways in achieving this fantastic victory.

We want to express our thanks to all our supporters who travelled in such large numbers to the game. The support did make a difference and was a great help to the team and is much appreciated by all involved.

The team now travels to London for the All Ireland quarter-final, where they will meet Tír Chonail Gaels in Ruislip on Sunday December 14 at 1.00 pm.

The senior team returns to action next Sunday when they play Annaghdown in the final of division 1 of the league. Venue and details are yet to be confirmed. We ask for your support to welcome home the Galway and Connacht champions.

Our lotto jackpot is now €14,450 as no winner and no match 3 this week. The numbers drawn were 18, 19, 25, 32.
The sellers’ prize went to Patricia Langan. Next week's draw is in the Cellar Bar.

Club Notes 17 November

MEN'S NOTES:

We want to wish our senior team the very best of luck in the Connacht final against Ballintubber (Mayo) on Sunday. The game starts at 2.00 pm in McHale Park Castlebar, with referee Paddy Neilan (Roscommon).
We need the support of as many people as possible for their biggest game of the year.
The support from the parish has been great to date is much appreciated by the players and the management team. Admission for under 16's is free and it will be a great occasion. Get behind the team and let your voices be heard on the day as the Club endeavours to add the Connacht title to the County Final win.
Flags, banners, jerseys, hats, scarves and even bodhrans – we need them all out in force on Sunday. It's a huge day for our Parish and we need all the support we can gather. So, mums, dads, grannies, grandads and especially children come and support our senior team. It's your support that could make the difference! "Nothing beats being there"!

Corofin GAA club will have a "pop up" shop at Corofin pitch on Friday night from 8 to 9.00 pm where supporters merchandise will be available. So get your flags and banners and display in your locality.

Congratulations to Ollie Burke (Brackloon) on winning €10,000 in the CCDA ‘Déal or No Déal’ final on Saturday night. Ollie picked box number 2 – the number he wore as a player!

Our lotto jackpot continues to grow as we had no winner and 1 match 3 – Seán Comer. The numbers drawn were 19, 20, 27, 30.
The sellers’ prize went to Patricia Langan. Next week's draw for €14,300 is in the Man of Aran.

Club Notes 10 November

MEN'S NOTES:

Well done to our seniors who have qualified for the Connacht club final following their win over Aughawillan (Leitrim) by 7-20 to 0-6 on Sunday.
McHale Park in Castlebar has been confirmed as venue for the final versus Ballintubber (Mayo), with throw in at 2.00 pm.

Our U-13’s won the David Canney final, which was played on Saturday. Well done to the team, mentors and all parents who supported the lads.

The Prediction Quiz leaderboard has been updated following the weekend Autumn Rugby International, in which a total of 4 tries were scored when Ireland defeated South Africa.
With only 1 event remaining – “Who will win the 2014 Galway Senior Hurling Championship?” – Derek Ryder has a narrow lead over Jonathan Tierney, with a number of other players not far behind. Full details can be found on the club website.

Five lucky people had match 3 in our lotto, namely Julie Comer, Alan Loughlin, Anne Cullinane, James Newell, Emma McTigue. However no one was lucky enough to win our jackpot which has now reached €14,150. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 7, 25.
The sellers’ prize went to Nora Hussey. Next week's draw is in the Hibernian Bar.

Club Notes 3 November

MEN'S NOTES:

Our seniors play Aughawillan (Leitrim) in the Connacht Club semi-final next Sunday at 2.00 pm in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon. The referee for the game is Jerome Henry (Castlebar). Good luck and best wishes to the team, who have put in a lot of hard work in preparation for the game. As always, your support is appreciated and will be a great help to the team.

Corofin GAA Club’s “Last Pint Auction” was held in Raftery's Pub last Friday night. Thanks to everyone who supported the auction. The monies raised will help towards our seniors training fund as they prepare for a Connacht semi-final. Sincere thanks also to our many generous sponsors.

Galway are Masters All Ireland Champions for the 3rd year in a row, defeating Mayo by 7 pts to 6. Well done to all involved and especially to Trevor Burke (scorer of 1 pt), Brian Silke and Tomás Greaney.

How does €14,000 lotto jackpot sound? We had no winner or match 3 this week. The numbers drawn were 17, 20, 25, 30. Sellers’ prize went to Pat Curley. Next week's Jackpot is €14,000 and the draw is in Gills.
