The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 27 March

CLUB NOTES:
There are just a few days to go to our big fundraiser night, the “20K Drop”, which takes place on Friday at 8.00 pm in the Claregalway Hotel. Tickets can still be obtained from any committee member or on-line on our website corofingaa.ie.

It proved to be a great weekend for Galway footballers with the seniors , under 21s and minors all winning. The Galway seniors had an excellent win over Down by 3-15 to 1-13. Gary Sice and Michael Farragher started while Liam Silke, Micheál Lundy and Ronan Steede, all featured for Galway. Ronan was making his senior inter-county debut for the county. Galway now play Kildare in the last round of the league in Pearse Stadium on Sunday, knowing that a win or draw will guarantee them promotion to division one and a place in the division 2 final against Kildare. The game will be part of a double header as Galway hurlers will play Waterford in the league quarter-final.
Galway minors defeated Mayo by 1-11 to 1-07 in the minor football league.
Galway under 21s advanced to the Connacht final, in which they play Sligo, following a 2-13 to 1-10 victory over Mayo. Dylan McHugh, Kieran Molloy and Colin Brady all started for Galway. We wish Dylan a speedy recovery ahead of next Saturday's Connacht final against Sligo.

Our seniors defeated Cortoon Shamrocks 3-16 to 1-6 in the John Dunne Cup game played on Friday. The Corofin goals were scored by Jason Leonard (2) and Dylan Canney. Corofin now top Group 4 having won all three game in the group.

Corofin play Monivea-Abbey in the Minor A Football League, North, at 6.45 pm on Monday next in Monivea.

The under 14s play Ballinasloe in division 1 (north) at 7.00 pm on Thursday evening. On the same evening we also play Pádraig Pearses in the division 3 (north) at 7.00 pm. Both games are home venue for Corofin.

The Club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Danny Nestor, Ardskeamore who died on Friday. May he Rest in Peace.

CLUB NOTES:

Have you got your ticket for our “20K Drop” fundraiser night, which takes place on Friday 31 March at 8.00 pmin the Claregalway Hotel. This promises to be a fun night and will be the first staging of the “20K Drop” in Galway. Tickets for the show, and for a chance to win €2,500, are priced at €20 and can be purchased from any committee member. There will be a discount for families or groups with four tickets available for €60. Tickets are also available on our website corofingaa.ie.

Galway seniors had a big win over Derry by 5-15 to 2-15 in the league on Sunday. Gary Sice, Micheál Lundy, Mike Farragher and Liam Silke all featured for Galway. Galway's next game is away to Down on Sunday.

Galway under 21 footballers play All-Ireland Champions Mayo in the Connacht semi final at 5.00 pm on Saturday in Tuam Stadium.

Also on Saturday, Galway minors play Mayo in the Connacht League at 3.00 pm in Tuam.

Our seniors defeated Mountbellew-Moylough by 3-5 to 0-8 in the John Dunne Cup last week. They play Cortoon Shamrocks at 8.30 pm on Friday in Corofin.

Corofin drew with Glenamaddy in the Minor A Football League, North, on a scorelinecof 0-13 to 1-10 in Glenamaddy on Sunday.

The Corofin GAA Club School of Excellence will take place from 11th to 13th of April in the Belclare Pitch. This camp is open to both boys and girls from the age of 8 to 13.

Galway under 21 footballers defeated Leitrim by 4-10 to 2-12 in the Connacht Championship played in Tuam on Saturday. Dylan McHugh, Kieran Molloy and Colin Brady all started for Galway. Next up for Galway is a clash with All-Ireland Champions Mayo.

Also on Saturday, Galway minors defeated Leitrim by 1-16 to 0-8 in their first game in the Connacht League.

Galway senior footballers return to action in the Allianz Football League when they play Derry in Tuam Stadium at 2.00 pm on Sunday.

Our seniors play Mountbellew-Moylough in the John Dunne Cup at 8.00 pm on Thursday next (16 March) in Corofin. Note change of date.

Our minors were defeated by Kilkerrin-Clonberne-Williamstown on a score line of 1-10 to 2-4 on Sunday in Clonberne. Their game versus Mountbellew/Moylough fixed for Corofin last week was postponed.

Under 11 and under 12s play Claremorris on Thursday in the Connacht Centre of Excellence. Meet there at 6.30pm. Please back text yes or no to Ralph for availability.

The Club sends best wishes to U10 player John Stockwell, who got injured on Saturday at training in Belclare. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Congratulations to Ciara Burke (Cregmore) who won an "All-Ireland Hurling & Football Final Package 2017" in the GAA National Draw. Ciara wins Premium tickets & overnight accommodation for 2 persons for both weekends of the Senior Finals. This is the Club's first win in the Annual GAA Draw.

The Club offers its sympathy to Tommy, Michael and Seán Farragher and the extended Farragher family, on the death of Teresa (Tess) Farragher, The Glebe, Tuam. May she rest in peace.

Galway footballers lost out to Meath in the Allianz Football League Division Two on a scoreline of Galway 0-15 to Meath 1-13. Liam Silke and Micheál Lundy started for Galway while Gary Sice was a late substitution. Galway’s next game is at home to Derry on Sunday week.

Our seniors play Mountbellew-Moylough in the John Dunne Cup at 11.00 am next Sunday (12 March) in Corofin.

Our minors lost out to Claregalway in the minor league by 2-12 to 1-12. The game was played last Tuesday night in Corofin. The team played Mountbellew/Moylough in Corofin on Tuesday night. Their next game is on Sunday against Kilkerrin-Clonberne-Williamstown at 11.00 am in Clonberne.
