The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 30 March

MENS NOTES:
Well done to the Galway minors, winners over Mayo in Connacht league and Corofin minors who had a big win over Claregalway in the league on Sunday.

The Galway seniors got back on the winning trail with a well merited win over Armagh in Tuam on Sunday. Tom Healy had a superb game in goal, while Micheál Lundy made his debut for Galway and contributed handsomely to the win. Michael Farragher replaced Micheál late on and scored a point which proved to be vital for Galway.

Under 16s play Annaghdown at home on Tuesday 8 April in the 2nd round of the league.
The under 14A team got off to a winning start on Sunday with victory over Mountbellew-Moylough in their first league game of the season. Their next game is against Kilkerrin-Clonberne on Friday evening in Belclare at 7.00pm.
The under 14B team play Salthill-Knocknacarra in Belclare on Friday evening at 7.00.
All support is appreciated for our underage teams.
Under 12 training continues on Thursday evening 3rd and Monday 7th in 6.30 in Belclare.
Under 10s, 8s and 6s continue training in Belclare on Saturday 5th of April. New members are welcome to any of these training sessions.

The first ever GAA National Club Draw took place on 17 March in Croke Park. A total of €2.45m was raised which goes directly back to the 957 clubs that participated. Many thanks to all who supported the draw in the club. There were winners from all four provinces including: Dublin, Derry, Mayo, Roscommon, Tyrone 2 from Tipperary and 3 from Cork, but none from Galway!

CALLING ALL QUIZ ENTHUSIASTS:
The Corofin Community Development Association (CCDA) would like to thank David Gower for acting as quizmaster during our monster quiz held recently. A special thank you to Frank Collins, to the sponsors of the various spot-prizes and to those who participated on the night – it was a very enjoyable event.
By popular demand the CCDA are organising the next table quiz on this Saturday, 5 April to be held in the Palm Tree with a starting time of 9.30 pm sharp and quizmaster is John Fahey, Corofin. We look forward to meeting you all there for another fun night.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and no match 3s. The numbers drawn were Numbers drawn 9, 14, 24 and 32. Next week's jackpot is €9350 with the draw taking place in Gills.

LADIES NOTES:
U10s training continues every Tuesday at 6.15 in Belclare and every Thursday at 6.15 in Corofin.
U12s have their first League game this Thursday 3 April versus Tuam/Cortoon at 6.30 In Belclare.
Training for U12s is on Tuesday 8 April in Belclare at 6.15.
The U14s training takes place this Friday at 5.45 in Belclare.

Club Notes 24 March

MENS NOTES:
Corofin seniors defeated Annaghdown by 3-19 to 1-6 in Round 1 of the senior league on Sunday.

Our Intermediate team drew with Monivea/Abbey on Saturday, thanks to a last minute goal from Alan O'Donovan. Final score was Corofin 2-4 to Monivea/Abbey 10 pts.

Congratulations to the under 13 team who defeated Glenamaddy/Glinsk in the U13 League Div 1A Final played on Sunday with a final score of Corofin 5-6 to Glenamaddy/Glinsk 3-6.
Thanks to the under 13 management team for looking after the team over the last 2 months.

Under 6, under 8 and under 10s continue training on Saturday in Belclare at 10:00. New members are always welcome.

Under 16s play Dunmore away on 1st of April at 7.00 in the first round of the league.

Under 14A team play Mounthbellew/Moylough away on Sunday 30th of March in the first round of the league at 12.00.

Under 14B play their first league match away to Killanin also on Sunday 30th March at 12.00.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 11, 12, 23 & 28. We had one match 3 - Larry Reynolds. Next week's jackpot is €9,200 with draw in the Palm Tree.

LADIES NOTES:

Congratulations to our Club players Roisín Leonard and Orla Newell who were both on winning teams at last weekend’s Ladies Football Colleges Cups competitions in Belfast. Roisín was on the University of Limerick side that won the O'Connor Cup and Orla played for Mary Immaculate College, Limerick who won the Giles Cup.

The under 10 girls training takes place on Tuesday 25th from 6:15 - 7:15 in Belclare pitch and on Thursday 27th from 6:15 - 7:15 in Corofin pitch.

Under 12 training is on Thursday 27th at 6.00 pm in Belclare and on Monday 31st at 6.30 pm in Corofin.

The under 14 Training is on Tuesday 25th in Belclare from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm and again on Friday 28th from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

Club Notes 17 March

MENS NOTES:

The seniors commence their league campaign next Sunday, 23 March, with an away game in Cregg against Annaghdown starting at 1.00 pm.

On the same afternoon, the intermediates play Monivea-Abbey at 4.00 pm in Corofin.

Our minors had a good win in the league defeating Tuam Stars by 4-9 to 2-8 on Sunday.

The under 13 panel also had good win over a very determined Tuam Stars team on Sunday morning in Tuam. Having trailed by five points at the break, Tuam started the second half brightly and reduced the lead to three. However Corofin showed great character and finished strong winners in the end. Corofin play Glenamaddy-Glinsk in the under 13 League Final which has been fixed for next Sunday 23rd March at 12 noon in Tuam Stadium. All support will be appreciated.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 12, 21, 23, 24. There were two match 3s – Padraic Kennedy & Declan Newell. Next week's jackpot is €9,050 with the draw in Raftery’s, Corofin.

LADIES NOTES:
U12 training starts this Thursday 20th in Belclare from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. New girls welcome.

U14 training takes place on Tuesday 18th in Belclare from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm and again on Friday 21st from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. New girls also welcome.

U16 training is on this Wednesday 19th in Corofin Pitch from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

Senior Ladies Training this Wednesday 19th in Corofin Pitch also from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

The ladies club offers its condolences to Lorraine McTighe, Belclare on the death of her Father.

Club Notes 10 March

MENS NOTES:
The Under 21s had a good win in the North Board Championship defeating Annaghdown on a scoreline of 2-20 to 0-6. The Corofin goals were scored in the first half by Ian Burke & Jason Leonard. Well done to all involved. Corofin have been drawn to play Dunmore in the semi-final, while Claregalway play Mountbellew / Moylough in the other semi-final.

Galway seniors ended their recent bad run by defeating Down 1-12 to 0-8. Tomás Healy and Gary Sice contributed handsomely to this vital win. Tomás made some fine saves in goal while Gary put Danny Cummins though for the crucial goal and contributed a point of his own to the win.

Many thanks to all who helped in any way with our very successful underage boys registration last Friday evening.

The "Train the Trainers" session has been rescheduled to next Saturday 15 March, at 9.00 am in Belclare pitch. This is open to all who are involved in training of underage teams or those who are interested in getting involved in training teams. New coaches for the club are very welcome. Well done to the Under 13s who had a good win over Glenamaddy/Glinsk on Sunday. They are now top of the league after 4 games.

There was no winner of lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 9, 31. There were three match 3s – Eamon Kelly, Katherine Burke and Brenda Rabbitte. Next week's jackpot is €8,900 with the draw in Canavan’s, Belclare.

The club offers it sympathies to McNamara family on the death of John McNamara, Anbally and to the Cunniffe family, on the death of Aidan Cunniffe, also Anbally.

LADIES NOTES:

Ladies Senior training takes place on this Wednesday, 12th in Belclare Astro turf from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Our first league game is away to Clonbur this weekend.Under 14 training is on Thursday, 13th in Belclare Astro turf also from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm and again on Sunday 16th from 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Club Notes 3 March

MENS NOTES:
Underage boys registration takes place this Friday evening 7 March from 5.45pm – 7.30pm in the Corofin GAA pitch. Boys from Under 6 to Under 16 can register on this evening.
Membership for the year remains at €30 per child.
Senior team players will be holding training events for the underage boys on the pitch while registration takes place. So we suggest that boys come togged out to take part.

On Saturday 8 March, from 10.00am – 1.00pm, a "Train the Trainers" session takes place in Belclare pitch. This is open to all who are involved in training of underage teams or those who are interested in getting involved in training teams. New coaches for the club are very welcome.

The Under 13 league match versus Annaghdown has been re-fixed for this Wednesday evening. We meet at Belclare at 5.45pm. Players going direct should be in Annaghdown pitch by 6.15pm.

Hard luck to St Jarlath’s who lost out to St Attracta’s, Sligo by 1-8 to 10 pts in the Connaught Colleges Senior A semi final played last week.

There was no winner of the lotto and no match 3s. Numbers drawn were 6, 21, 28, 31. Next week's jackpot is €8,750, with the draw in the Cellar Bar, Tuam.

LADIES NOTES:
Under 16 girls training continues as usual. New girls are welcome.
