The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 18 June


Congratulations to Galway footballers who won the Connacht final, defeating Roscommon in Hyde Park, Roscommon on Sunday on a final score of 0-16 to 2-6.
Well done to our Club players involved and especially Ian Burke who put in another excellent display scoring 3 points from play.

Our seniors play Cortoon Shamrocks in Round 2, Group 1 of the County Senior Football Championships on Wednesday evening at 8.00 pm in Tuam Stadium. Your support at this game is welcome. Remember to bring the programme from the first round, as it is valid for this game also. Best wishes to the team and their mentors.

We had three teams competing at under 12 age group last week. We defeated Dunmore MacHales in Group 1, but lost out to Dunmore MacHales (B) in Group 2 and Oranmore-Maree in Group 10.

The Corofin under 7, 8, 9 and 10 teams were hosted by Tuam Stars on Saturday morning. It was a great morning of football. Sincere thanks to everyone involved.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and one match 3, Kevin Collins. Numbers drawn were 5, 6, 8, 24. The seller’s prize went to Brian Loughlin. Next week's jackpot is €5,900 and draw is in Club Office.

Club Notes 11 June


Galway footballers play Roscommon in the Connacht final in Hyde Park, Roscommon at 4.00 pm on Sunday.
We send best wishes to the team and our Club players involved.

Our seniors defeated St. James' in the league, division 1 by 3-15 to 0-13 played in Mervue on Friday evening.

We had two excellent wins in the league division 5, North league, defeating Headford by 7-11 to 1-10 last week and we then went on to defeat Glinsk by 1-11 to 0-11 on Saturday evening. Well done lads.

The Club sends best wishes for a speedy recovery to Eóin Morris, Castlehackett NS who was injured in the Raftery Cup final. Thanks to the Harhen doctors and everyone who helped out.

Details of a Club Fundraising event being organised by our Junior team are available on the Club website and on our social media platforms.

The Club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of the Mattie Fahy, Ballinacregg North, Cummer, who died at the weekend. May he rest in peace.

Club Notes 4 June


Well done to Galway footballers who had a comfortable win over Sligo in the Connacht semi-final played in Pearse Stadium on Sunday. Congrats to Ian Burke who score 1-2 in the game. Galway play Roscommon in the Connacht final in Hyde Park, Roscommon at 4.00 pm on Sunday 17 June.
The Galway hurlers also qualified for the Leinster final following their victory over Wexford on Saturday.

Our seniors play St. James' in Mervue at 8.00 pm on Friday evening in the league, division 1.

We play Renvyle in the league, division 4 at 2.00 pm in Renvyle on Sunday.

The division 5, North league game versus Headford was deferred to this Tuesday evening.

We lost out to Milltown in the league (division 8A North) by 2-9 to 3-11, played in Corofin on Saturday evening.

We defeated Annaghdown by 1-8 to 1-5 in the under 13 league (division 1A) played in Cregg last Friday.

Well done to our two under 12 teams who played in the annual Clifford Cup, hosted by St Marys GAA Club, Sligo on Saturday. Both teams competed very well in an extremely well run tournament. Our first team played in the A Cup Competition and lost out on a place in the semi-final on score difference. The second team who played in the B Shield, topped their group, won their semi final convincingly and narrowly lost out in the final to Four Masters, Donegal town by 4 points to 5. The Club is very proud of the boys and thanks the mentors and all involved with the trip to Sligo on Saturday.

The Club offers its sympathy to the families and friends of the following who died recently: Thomas Silke, Corrandulla, brother of John Silke, Caherhugh. May he rest in peace.
