The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 11 February



The countdown to the All-Ireland Senior Club semi-final is almost done. We play Gaoth Dobhair (Donegal) in Páirc Seán Mac Diarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon, on Saturday afternoon with throw in at 1.30 pm.

We wish the best of luck to the team and their mentors in the game. We ask all followers to show support for the team by displaying their flags and banners. Safe travelling to all attending the match.


Good luck also to our Instrumental Music Group in the 2019 All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Finals taking place on Saturday in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar.


Well done to Galway senior footballers who defeated Monaghan by 1-9 to 0-11 in the Allianz League, Division 1 played in Monaghan on Sunday.


Congratulations to Oranmore-Maree who become the first ever Galway club to win an All Ireland Intermediate hurling title, defeating Charleville by 2-18 to 1-15 in Croke Park on Sunday.


There will be a Public Meeting in St. Colman’s Room, Corofin Church at 8.30 pm on Friday 22 February, to outline Capital Development Plans for Corofin GAA Club. All are welcome to attend.


Well done to the members of Corofin GAA Club who took part in a Heartsaver AED & CPR course in Belclare on Friday evening.

Well done to all who participated in the GAA Foundation Coaching Award practical session on Belclare Astroturf held on Saturday last.


Brian Murphy is delivering a Heartsaver AED & CPR course on this Friday evening upstairs in Belcare dressing rooms starting at 8.00 pm. This course is open to all Corofin GAA members. All interested persons can text 087 2760662 for further information.

The club offers its sympathy to the family and friends of Annie Healy, Liscaninane, Claregalway, grandmother of Tom Healy, Cloughane; Denis Mulkeen, Kiltimagh, father of Anne Hession, Gortbeg and John Creaven, Grattan Park, Galway, brother-in-law of Anne Marie Burke, Ballinderry, who died recently. May they rest in peace.
