MEN'S NOTES:

The under 21's defeated Tuam Stars in the north board championship played in Corofin last Saturday. Despite playing against the wind, Corofin led by 4 points to 2 at half time. Corofin dominated the second half and went on to win by 1-14 to 5 pts, the goal coming from Ian Burke. Well done to the team and their mentors.

The annual social was held this year on Saturday 8 February. As well as celebrating the 2013 Senior and U21 championship winning team plus the 2013 Intermediate league winners; the 1963 Junior championship winning team and subsequent Senior Co. finalists of 1964 were also recognised. The 1963 /64 panelists were presented with Souvenir booklets on the night commemorating their achievements. Many thanks to all involved in the organisation of the event this year.
Due to an unfortunate oversight on the night, the All Ireland 7’s victory was not formally recognised and the club regrets any disappointment and inconvenience that this oversight caused the winning captain Gary Sice and other panel members. The club will, in due course, honour the achievement this year.

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot and no match 3s. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 20, 32. Next week's jackpot is €8,600 with the draw in the Cellar Bar.

The club offers its sympathies to the Nalty family Ballinastack, on the death of Joe Nalty and to the Burns family on the death of Gary Burns also of Ballinastack.
