The Club was affiliated to the GAA in 1925 and incorporates the two half-parishes of Corofin & Belclare.
The official club colours are Saffron and Green.

Club Notes 31 August

MENS NOTES:
Well done to the senior team who, despite being down by a goal with 8 mins to play and playing most of the second half with 14 men, forced a draw with Tuam Stars in the championship quarter-final on Saturday evening. The final score was Corofin 0-11 to Tuam Stars 1-08. The replay is fixed for Sunday 13 September in Tuam Stadium, with the winner facing Cortoon Shamrocks in the County semi-final.

The team returns to action on Friday evening when they take on St. James' at 6.45 pm in Mervue in division 1 of the league.

The Club extends its best wishes to Daithí Burke and Ronan Burke in the All-Ireland senior hurling final and to Jack Fitzpatrick in the minor final on Sunday. The draw for All-Ireland hurling final tickets will be held on Thursday night in Corofin. Club members wishing to be entered in the draw should apply to Michael Ryder (Chairperson), Jimmy McHugh (Secretary) or John Raftery (Treasurer) before 9.00 pm on Thursday evening.

Well done to the two Corofin teams who participated in the Kevin Killeen tournament on Saturday. Congrats to the under 9 and under 10 teams who brought back the double 'Kevin Killeen Cup & Shield' to Corofin after 6 years. This was a great performance by all involved. Thanks to the parents and coaches for all the hard work on the run up to the day and for all the support and refreshments. We want to offer a special thanks to Fintan and Eileen Killeen, who presented the Cup to U10 Captain, Gavin Kelly and the Shield to U9 Captain, Patrick Hynes.

The lotto numbers drawn on 31 August were 5, 9, 19, 32. We had one match 3s – Tony Murphy. The seller's prize went to Patricia Langan. Next week’s jackpot is for €4,700 with the draw in Rafterys.

Club Notes 24 August

Our intermediates have qualified for the semi-final of the championship following their 0-11 to 0-7 win over St. Brendan’s, Ballygar in Athenry on Saturday evening. Well done to the team and management. They are scheduled to play Moycullen in the semi-final on the weekend of 12 / 13 September.

The senior team is back in action on Saturday evening in the county senior football championship quarter final when they take on Tuam Stars who had a big win over Caherlistrane at the weekend. The game has been fixed for Tuam Stadium on Saturday 29 Aug at 4.45 pm. A great game is in prospect, so be there.

Our minors had a comprehensive win over Claregalway in the championship.

The Kevin Killeen under 10 tournament takes place this Saturday in Belclare. All teams are asked to be at the Belclare pitch at 9.30 on Saturday for a 10.00 pm start. Please come along for a great morning of football.

The lotto numbers drawn on 24 August were 5, 10, 22, 28. We had three match 3s – Paul Keating, Aidan Donnellan, Betty & Alvin Mulroe. The seller's prize went to JohnJoe Forde. Next week’s jackpot is €4,550 with the draw in Canavans.

Club Notes 17 August
MENS NOTES:

Well done to the Galway senior and minor hurlers on two great wins on Sunday. They now contest the All-Ireland finals on 6 September. Daithi Burke will be hoping to add to the club medal he won on St. Patrick's Day. Minor full back, Jack Fitzpatrick also played underage football with Corofin.

Intermediates play St Brendan's, Ballygar in the quarter final of the championship on Saturday at 6.45 in Duggan Park Ballinasloe.

Our minors were defeated by Annaghdown in the North Board Championship on a scoreline of Annaghdown 2-12 to Corofin 2-7. Hard luck lads. The team play Claregalway in Claregalway at 7.00 on Thursday evening.

Our under 12's play Tuam Stars in Tuam Stars grounds at 11.00 am on Sunday next.

The second session of three in the Corofin Underage Coaches training will take place on Saturday morning in the Belclare pitch starting at 8.30. Fitness Fundamentals will take the Sessions. From 10.00 to 11.00 FF will assist with our coaching session with the players.

The lotto numbers drawn on 17 August were 4, 6, 9, 16. One match 3 Caolan King. Seller's prize Brian Loughlin. Next week's jackpot €4,400 in Cellar Bar.

LADIES FOOTBALL:

Best wishes to the Corofin Ladies club players Orla Canney, Leanne Coen, Amy Coen, Emily Donnelly and Amy O'Donovan, as well as Team Selector Stephen Hession, who are part of the Galway Ladies U16 team playing Kerry in the All Ireland Final in Bruff, Co Limerick on the evening of Wednesday 29th July, throw in 7pm.

We also want to wish all the best to Corofin Ladies players Chelsey Blade and Dearbhla Gower who play for Galway Ladies Minors in the All Ireland Final versus Cork in Semple Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd August, throw in 5.30pm.

Galway Ladies are having a brilliant year, already winning a clean sweep of Connacht titles - u14, u16, Minor and Senior - in 2015 so far. They also run all the underage game development training and blitzes in the County, as well as all the competitions Corofin Ladies teams, from u8 to Seniors, play in. To fundraise to keep all this successful ladies football activity going they are holding a Night at the Dogs fundraiser at Galway Greyhound Stadium on Friday 21st August. Tickets are available for €20 each from David Gower. The ticket gives entry on the night and if the ticket number matches the final result of the feature race on the night the ticket holder wins €1000.

Club Notes 10 August
MENS NOTES:

In the draw for the senior championship, Corofin will play the winners of Tuam Stars and Caherlistrane in the quarter final.

In the intermediate quarter final Corofin will once again play St. Brendan's, Ballygar.

In the senior league game played in Milltown on Friday, Corofin defeated Milltown by 2-14 to 1-7. The Corofin goals were scored by Ronan Steede and Shane Monaghan.

Club Notes 3 August

MENS NOTES:
Best of luck to our minors who play Annaghdown in the minor A North Board Championship in Corofin on Thursday 13 August at 7.00. Please support the team in this home game.

Our seniors were defeated by Mountbellew-Moylough in the final of the Connacht GAA Senior Club League (Leo Kenny Cup) in Tuam Stadium last Wednesday on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-12.

We play Milltown in division 1 of the league in Milltown on Friday evening at 8.00 pm.

Our intermediates play St Gabriel's in the league in Corofin at 3.00 pm on Sunday evening.

The under 16s play Glenamaddy/Glinsk in the Championship next Tuesday evening (11 August) in Corofin at 7.00 pm.

Well done to our Under 12s who were the inaugural winners of the Christy O'Loughlin Cup played in Ballinrobe on Saturday. Corofin defeated Parke, Ballintubber and Ballinrobe on their way to victory. Declan O’Loughlin presented the winners with the Christy O’Loughlin Memorial Cup and Stephen Rochford, the Corofin senior football manager who lives in Ballinrobe, presented the medals. The Andy Merrigan Cup, was on display at the tournament.

The lotto numbers drawn on 3 August were 9, 16, 20, 31. There was no winner of the jackpot and we had one match 3 – Fergal Curley.
The seller's prize went to Patricia Langan. The next draw for a jackpot of €4,100 will be held in the Hibernian Bar, Tuam.
